While I obviously can’t give all the costume surprises away, I have been given permission by the lovely costume designer to give you a sneak of what is in store for OperaBox’s up and coming production of Massenet’s Manon.
Stephanie Cullingford has been busy at work (literally night and day) pulling together a cast wardrobe fit for the 1920’s. As Shakespeare so aptly put it, ‘clothes maketh the man’, and for a cast of rather stylish singers, donning on such costumes has really elevated our characters and performance excitement to new heights.
Here’s a wonderful array of swatches and Steph’s hand-drawn designs filled with colours, details and textures to wet your vintage fashionista appetite.
